FAQ

Why does it sometimes take a long time before the equipment gauge matches the actual temperature indicated by the dew point meter?

When the moisture content of a gas is extremely low, the time it takes the equipment gauge to get an accurate reading is largely affected by the operating conditions, i.e. moisture on the instrument’s sensor or in the main pipeline where the measurements are taken as well as in the pipeline where the air sample is taken from. Water molecules that cling to rough or dirty  interior pipe surfaces can also slow down the drying process.
